This gymnastics training equipment includes (T179PT) Pommel Top with 3 Pommels and T182 The Basic Mushroom®. Interchange the Mushroom® Head with the Pommel Top or use the Pommel Top for use directly on the floor. The Pommel Top comes with 3 wooden pommels -- two standard and one extra long which can be mounted in several positions to the wooden top. The Mushroom heads are 24" in diameter and is constructed of blue 100% self-skinning textured non-slip foam.. The regular Mushroom head is 5" tall and can be used by itself directly on the floor as well. Total height of the Basic Mushroom is 20". The Base alone is 15". Meets USAG specifications. The Pommel Top is currently on backorder. It will be able to ship in March '10. Shipping is included inside the continental US (lower 48). In stock - ready to ship.

Developed in 1978, the MUSHROOM used carefully and consistently in early training will almost guarantee a competent pommel horse worker in the years to come. We are proud to announce the introduction of the newest MUSHROOM model. The Basic MUSHROOM head is constructed of 100% self skinning foam, which will help prevent microtrauma to the gymnast's wrists and elbows. The working surface is textured to provide a non-slip surface. The MUSHROOM base is a white high density polyethylene plastic and has hand cut outs for easy portability. The base stands 15" tall. The MUSHROOM head is 24" in diameter as specified for USAG competition. The 5" tall MUSHROOM head attaches easily to the base with a tightening knob or can be used separately from the base for floor circles. The total height of the MUSHROOM and base is 20" and the weight is 25 lbs. - T182

Designed by kinesiologists, coaches and gymnasts, the purpose of this design is to: 1) create a surface upon which gymnasts of all ages and levels can train without causing severe wrist damage, 2) establish a standard piece of equipment that can support the skill development of the gymnast, and 3) add a colorful, lightweight and portable pommel horse station that can bridge the gap between traditional mushrooms and pommel horse. Unique wrist-friendly mushroom/pommel hybrids designed to be used by athletes of all ages and skill levels. These patented trainers are very stable, require no heavy footing, won't damage floors and are easily portable. Has become an instant favorite of coaches and gymnasts alike. Use with or without pommels. Carbon fiber vinyl skin is available in red, electric blue and black. Pommel handles are not included on either of these models.
