Regardless of the reason or the degree of injury, it is important to keep weight off the ankle until the swelling and pain subside. Determine size by the weight of the athlete. S= up to 100 lbs, M= 100 to 150 lbs, L= 150 to 200 lbs, XL= over 200 lbs.
